Yangshuo</title><summary type='text'>After our time in Xi'an, we travelled to Guilin and enjoyed a 4hr cruise on the Li river to the (very touristy) town of Yangshuo. Altogether a nice way to spend a couple of days.And we had fabulous foot massages in Yangshuo - 1hr for the equivalent of £5. It's an awful lot of travel time (48hrs in total)  for not very long on the ground (36hrs), but there was a good reason - his grandfather's 90th birthday lunch. After making it through the whole of winter with only a couple of heavy frosts in London, it finally snowed today for the first time in 2008. But of course it had to wait until April &amp; springtime!Adam woke me up this morning at 9am by telling me that it was snowing - I didn't believe him until he opened the curtains and the trees were coated in snow.
